Smart Import
Vietnam exports many different kinds of products to Japan.
Some of the biggest challenges Japan-based importers face are high logistics costs and shortage of manpower for additional value-added services; while on Vietnam's side, the order size may not be sufficient for individual factories to ship by full container loads. As such, factories may have to ship by less-than-container loads, which leads to longer lead times and more handling during break-bulk upon arrival at Japan's ports.

Utilizing Sagawa Express Japan's comprehensive small parcel delivery network and the competitive logistics and manpower costs in Vietnam, we were able to provide a seamless end-to-endsolution for many of our clients facing the abovementioned problems.
Client A in the garment industry has multiple factories in Vietnam producing garments on hanger (GOH) that need to be delivered to different regions in Japan.
We arranged trucks with specialized equipment for pickup at the factories back to our Nhon Trach Warehouse, sorted the garments by region, and to ensure that the products are correctly sorted we passed them through an RFID gate prior to loading the cargo.
Once the goods have arrived in Japan, they can be immediately loaded into trucks and delivered directly to stores.

Our Client, a major meat producer in Vietnam, is well-known for their adherence to European standards for cool meat, ensuring all of their distribution chain is traceable and upholding the highest standards of hygiene. While there are many cold chain trucking companies in Vietnam, our Client needed a reliable company that is as dedicated to their standards as they are, with the capabilities of distributing their products to many stores within Ho Chi Minh City and also to the Mekong region.
Our fleet of well-maintained, clean dual-compartment trucks was the answer. With a temperature range of up to 23℃ for the chilled and -15℃for the frozen compartment, we could deliver a variety of products for our Client that requires intricate temperature control. Our experience with delivering to supermarkets, stores and distributors also helped to get products quickly to their destinations in the freshest condition. We also utilized our larger reefer trucks to carry our Cilent's products to 6 provinces in the Mekong region, so that more families can enjoy the high quality of meat produced from our Client's farms.
Import and Distribution
Our Client is a major international sports drink manufacturer with nationwide distribution in Vietnam. The products are manufacturered in Southeast Asia, which are then packed into containers and shipped to their facility in Vietnam. Prior to working with us, our Client had worked with a local company which failed to give thorough visibility of their logistics chain. This led to delays and impacted the promotiona lactivities planned by our Client.
Working with our sister company EFL Global, which is also a subsidiary company of SG Holdings Global, we proposed to our client to make use of our strong ocean freight service in Southeast Asia and nationwide distribution network in Vietnam. Our solution provided visibility of cargo with online track and trace, allowing them to know where each shipment is.
From export at origin, to import, container drayage to warehouse and finally last mile delivery, our one-stop logistics solution helped our client reduce complexity, improve visibility and most importantly, deliver their goods on time.

Modern Trade Distribution
Two distributors of a major international FMCG brand in North and South Vietnam were facing operational challenges as their businesses grew rapidly. As the volume and number of SKUs grew exponentially, it became very challenging to deliver in full and on time to supermarkets and convenience stores, affecting their supplier performance metrics.
We proposed a cross-dock model using minimum amount of space at our North and South delivery hubs. To ensure utmost accuracy in picking and packing, we designed a system that captures every item packed into each carton, with a carton number that is tied to our delivery waybill. As the volume to each store varies, we proposed using less-than-truckload small parcel service for delivery to certain stores, and optimized the delivery schedule to stores with larger demand or in outlying areas using milk run.
With a professional team well-versed in picking and packing, instances of cargo damage during transit was reduced, goods were delivered in full and on time, and cost-effectiveness was significantly improved.

Export Consolidation
Over the years, we have provided warehousing, trucking and customs clearance services for many asset- and non-asset based freight forwarders and NVOCCs.
One of the main service we are providing for them is export consolidation.
With our exceptional location at Linh Trung near to Cat Lai port, we were able to provide a one-stop solution for our Clients from trucking to storage, load containers and process export shipments quickly. Located in close proximity to many inland container depots (ICDs) such as Phuoc Long, Transimex, Tanamexco, Tan Cang, Sotrans, Phuc Long and more, Linh Trung warehouse's location is extremely convenient to pick upand return containers from different shipping lines.

Client B is a shoes producer who needs to ship out almost 100,000 "lucky bags（福袋, fukubukuro)" to Japan, consisting of 54 types of lucky bags with almost 200 SKUs.
With limited space available in Japan during year end, and gathering a sizeable workforce for a short period proved extremely challenging, we proposed to the Client to utilize our warehouse in Bac Ninh for this purpose, and at a much lower cost than doing it in Japan.
With our experienced warehouse operators, careful operations and layout planning, we were able to meet the tight deadline set by customer and export to Japan via our Smart Import Scheme.
The lucky bags were then distributed to many stores across the country after import, by our Sagawa Express Japan network.
